Get your old, dusty computers and other outdated electronic equipment out of the attic or basement. A new E-recycling program for the state of Vermont has gone into effect. Under a new law, Vermonters are now able to recycle their so-called E-waste for free across the state.

Only 32 percent of recyclable materials in Vermont is disposed of properly.  The legislature is looking at ways to improve that figure, including expanding the state's bottle bill. 

The Vermont Public Interest Research Group has identified an initial group of 5 communities where contractors will offer homeowners substantial discounts to install new solar systems.
