Some big wind projects in the region are not performing as planned due to
constraints on the transmission grid. That news came as Vermont lawmakers focused on both climate change and a
moratorium on new wind development.
Green Mountain Power officials announced Friday that their new innovation center in downtown Rutland will also provide a new hub
for Efficiency Vermont and NeighborWorks of Western Vermont.
Customers
of Vermont’s largest electric utility could see their monthly
bills go up to help pay the costs of recovering from Tropical Storm Irene. If approved,
beginning on July 1, CVPS customers
would see their bills increase by 1.4 percent.
