The state's unemployment rate is down to 5.6 percent from lower than 6 percent last year. Governor Peter Shumlin says state revenues of taxes and fees have also begun to pick

Vermont's unemployment rate continues to decline. The state Labor Department says the rate for February dropped a tenth of a percentage point to 5.6 percent.
NH Unemployment Reaches 7 Percent
New Hampshire's unemployment rate inched up to 7 percent in
December. Labor officials said Tuesday that the state's
jobless rate increased 0.3 percentage points from November and 2.7 percent
points from the same time last year.
VT Leads NH In Months With Low Unemployment
Vermont and New Hampshire typically have the lowest unemployment rate in New England, and currently Vermont
has the smallest number of people out of work.
