A series of thunderstorms rolled through the region overnight, and the National Weather Service issued severe thunderstorm warnings periodically throughout the morning.

A line of thunderstorms in Vermont has caused damage and knocked out electricity for more than 13,000 homes and businesses.

Just as work crews were wrapping up restoration efforts from last night's severe thunderstorms, round two came through this afternoon. CVPS says storms knocked out power to 12,000 of its customers.
