The Vermont Symphony Orchestra is sponsoring several events this week commemorating the 65th anniversary of the Verdi Requiem performance at the Terezin concentration camp in Czechoslovakia.
On Monday night, 4/26, VPR Classical’s “In Concert @8” offers a prelude
to the VSO’s “Terezín Remembered” programs this week with "A Voice for
the Silenced", an exploration of the music that was created in the
Terezín concentration camp.
This year marks the 65th
anniversary of the liberation of the Terezin ghetto in Czechoslovakia. Among the events being held to recognize the date is a
symposium with Anna Hajkova, a leading expert on Terezin.
