As Vt. Approves Marijuana Dispensaries, Towns Prepare To Host Them

Public safety officials have given conditional approval to the state's first two medical marijuana dispensaries, including one in Burlington. Other towns are deciding whether to opt out of the program by crafting zoning ordinances that preclude dispensaries.

Recently, though, the state begun urging towns to adopt new bylaws that would prohibit development in many areas likely to flood.

The largely autobiographical song has left baseball and Springsteen fans alike wondering if the pitcher featured in the song was a real guy. Now, it appears, they have an answer: Joe DePugh of Stowe.

Town Meeting In Stowe Includes Vote On Skating Rink

Voters in Stowe will be weighing whether to spend a $6.5 million bond to build a new ice skating rink. The old arena is 37 years old and has begun to fall into disrepair. The proposal calls for a fully enclosed, 34,000 square foot building.
