Senator Bernie Sanders is standing by his decision to speak out against a proposed moratorium on ridgeline wind development. Sanders believes that immediate and drastic action is needed to combat global climate change.

Senator Bernie Sanders is sponsoring the re-authorization of the Older Americans Act.  The legislation, which was originally enacted in 1965, supports programs that help senior citizens remain independent and in their homes and communities.

Sen. Bernie Sanders says any deficit reduction proposal should represent a "shared sacrifice", with a balance of program cuts and taxes on the rich. His plan to impose a surtax on people making more than a million dollars a year is gaining support in the U.S. Senate Democratic caucus.
