Vermont’s protocols for search and rescue operations and who should lead them is being examined by a committee that will recommend changes to the legislature.
A
legislative committee that’s looking into how search and rescue operations are
conducted in the state has concluded that the system needs to be reorganized. The
committee was created to look into questions concerning the death of a
19 year old hiker last year.
