gridlock? A $6.6 million
project designed to make the village more attractive. But merchants worry that by the time
Danville gets spruced up, they'll have been put out of business by long traffic
delays.

Vermont transportation officials say the era of big highway
projects is coming to a close as they place a higher priority on repairs
to the
existing road and bridge network.
The Legislature is about to approve the largest Transportation bill the
state has ever seen. It's fueled, in
part, by more than $125 million in federal stimulus funds.
