administration has urged a federal appeals court to set aside a ruling by a
federal judge that said states have the to authority regulate greenhouse gas
emissions from vehicles.
The move is in
support of the auto industry.
The Chief Justice of the Vermont Supreme Court, Paul Reiber, says a
chronic under funding of the state’s judicial system is beginning to have a
serious impact on Vermont’s court
system.
Reiber told a special legislative
panel that he’s projecting a million dollar deficit in this
year’s budget. And Reiber says there are no easy ways to deal with the shortfall.
