Green Up Day 2011: Success

This year’s Green Up Day has been declared a success. Green Up Vermont says between 15,000 and 20,000 volunteers fanned out across the state on Saturday to pick up trash along roadsides and in public spaces.

Green Up Day Celebrates 40th Anniversary

Today is Earth Day, and an anniversary of sorts, as the first Earth Day was celebrated 40 years ago. It was also 40 years ago that Vermonters ventured out into their various communities to pick up trash and Green Up the state.
