The leaves are barely off the trees, but public health officials say it’s already time
for your flu shot. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention wants anyone
older than six months to receive the vaccine.
The
Vermont Health Department says a flu outbreak is now widespread across the
state. Health officials say the three strains of the flu that have been detected
across the country have also been found in Vermont.
Vermont’s health commissioner took a minute this afternoon to
get a flu shot – and to remind everyone else to do the same.
Dr.
Wendy Davis said the vaccine is widely available this year.
