Electronic Waste: New Products, Old Problem

Steve Zind Think back to the number of cell phones you’ve gone through over the
last 10 years or so. That’s just a tiny fraction of the electronic waste
Vermonters throw out each year. The state has just concluded its first
year of an electronics recycling program, and diverted 4.8 million
pounds of electronic waste from landfills into a recycling program.

At Last, An Easy Way To Recycle Old, Outdated Electronics

Kirk Carapezza Get your old, dusty computers and other outdated electronic equipment out of the
attic or basement. A new E-recycling program for the state of Vermont has gone into effect. Under
a new law, Vermonters are now able to recycle their so-called
E-waste for free across the state.
