Working on a farm can be dangerous. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration estimates that every day, more than 240 agricultural workers suffer an injury that results in lost work time.

Advocates for disabled Vermonters are decrying what they say are problems with a newly instituted system of electronic payments for Social Security beneficiaries. They've been alerted this week to a spate of problems with people being switched to debit card payments without adequate notification.
