State Sued For Pay Discrimination

Kirk Carapezza The state is being
sued for discrimination against a female employee in the Department of
Corrections. The Vermont Human Rights Commission says the state failed to
provide equal pay to Lynne Silloway, an administrative services coordinator at
the DOC.

Vt. Corrections Evaluates Supreme Court's Strip Search Ruling

Patti Daniels The head of Vermont's Corrections Department says a recent Supreme Court
ruling on strip searches won't make a significant difference in procedures used
in Vermont. In 2011,
there were over 3,000 admissions in Vermont correctional facilities, and only 21 strip searches.
