"As demoralized and shocked as I felt when Trump was elected president, I was hopeful that with his poor attention span and clearly demonstrated pattern of saying whatever is convenient at the moment, that he would not follow through on most of his campaign promises.

"I have been unpleasantly surprised by his efforts to follow through on promises and totally enraged with the Republican-led Congress and Senate for giving him as much leeway and support as they have. I am also very concerned that while all of the U.S. intelligence agencies agree that there was Russian interference in the campaign, Trump and his appointees remain in power and continue damaging the necessary social supports and systems that we have in place to protect all people in this country, regardless of country of origin or identity status.
