"As a Canadian living in Montréal and as a part-time resident of Northern Vermont, I am profoundly disturbed by what is happening under the Trump administration. I can't begin to make a list of all the troublesome events that have taken place since Trump's inauguration.

"But I will mention just a few: what he his doing to the environment and climate change in particular, the complete disregard for long-recognized ethical principles in politics, both national and international, his obvious lack of proper reflection before acting in very complex issues, and many more actions to distort the truth and further the objectives of a small group of very rich people, including large corporations.

"At this point, the outlook for the future is bleak. He still enjoys the support of a significant number of voters and of very wealthy financial contributors. I don't get the impression that the Democrats are doing enough to broadcast all the contradictions in his actions and all the damaging consequences of the profound changes that he is making. I am very pessimistic about the future."
